Nummy's PC lost signal

My PC was doing fine after first fireup after 6 months away, then I began to get 'No Signal' messages. Usually the EUFI screen comes on, then the blue 'USER' screen. Then the monitor goes dark and stays that way. I don't think its the VGA cable. I opened the case and reseated RAM and video card, etc...

Oops, started downloading again.
There may be hope.
It's a sorry server here, ATT, so little wonder it takes forever.

Re: Pico 4 VR

Ha ha . . . Hunter, you are not to worry about dogfighting me. May never get the update downloaded--remember I haven't updated since March so there may be an unending string of updates. I have tried four times to update and it seems to get about halfway through and then just sit there. The red bar s...

Wow, that's some data.
I have to think about this more.
I am definitely for WIRED.
Have been dropped too many times by wireless devices.
Thanks chaps,

Pico 4 VR

Surfing for VR goggles I found the Pico 4 that looks intriguing. Goes on sale Oct 18th in Europe and Asia. There are currently no plans to market in the US but I feel that will change eventually. If anyone has any experience or advice, please post it. No hurry. I will do anything to avoid both STEAM...

Re: Flying Ops from my camper?

Thanks chaps for the input.
My brother down the road about 50 miles has 5G hookup, wifi stuff.
I could show up on Sundays, watch the drag races a while--he's a drag racer, funny car sort of thing--and maybe get in on the OPs action.
Let me investigate.

Flying Ops from my camper?

Just bear with me here . . . My control system and 48 inch monitor will fit into my camper. I designed it that way but never used it. So if I put my PC, plus my monitor in the camper, all I need for that is an extension cord and electrical hookup, right? Now then I would need an internet connection ...

Re: Slide Pilot Seat Further Back?

'Move Pilot Head Backward' is the ticket.
Now I can see my mirror and my altimeter at the same time.
What a concept . . . .

Re: Slide Pilot Seat Further Back?

And of course, a Spitfire seat doesn't move forward or backward, only four inches up, and four inches down.
The mirror was the problem, I couldn't see it in default as it was too high when looking ahead.
Okay, I'll start resetting according to above.
Thanks.

Re: Slide Pilot Seat Further Back?

I have the Grass Monkey IR 'Odyssey' which is sort of TIR without reflectors, a battery in the headset sends the IR signal. Works well at half the price of TIR https://grassmonkeysimulations.com/ I keep it unplugged when setting up a cockpit--I have the keys set for up, down ,left, right. I just can...

Slide Pilot Seat Further Back?

I am not happy with the pilot seat view in many A/C particularly Spitfires.
I have the mouse wheel set to move pilot head back to current max, but it is for me still a restricted view.
Can the seat be slid back beyond these limits?
Advice appreciated.
Cheers, :rof_salute

Re: F/Sgt Doc leaves Sutton Bridge

Where we gonna put Doc in the stack up?
Looks like Green 3 to me--it's not like we haven't flown together before.
Or put him as Green 2 and I'll ride drag--ya get a better view of everyone ahead of you getting shot down . . .

Re: Welcome Guests.

"Finishing the wings on your Spitfire is an allowable excuse" Guilty as charged Merlin. I am going up to inspect the poor thing over Christmas and bring back some wing rib patterns for ribs which I can make upon my work bench here at home. (I lack a big space to put things together--a hangar) It wil...
